Scenting Instructions:
Start by determining the final weight of your lotion, with fragrance oil. You can simply use our base calculator here to help you determine how much base and fragrance oil to mix.
This lotion base can safely accept up to 3% fragrance oil, but that does not mean you need to use the maximum. For best results, we recommend 1–2% fragrance oil for most applications. Remember - ALWAYS refer to the IFRA guidelines for the specific fragrance being used (Category 5 - with sub-categories) to ensure proper usage.
Place the measured lotion into a mixing bowl. Slowly pour in the fragrance oil, stirring thoroughly for 1–2 minutes, ensuring the fragrance is fully absorbed and evenly distributed throughout the lotion.
Once fully mixed, transfer the lotion to your designated container and allow to cure for 24-48 hours.
PLEASE NOTE - If you prefer a thinner consistency for easier mixing, you may gently warm the lotion base before adding fragrance.

Transfer the lotion base into a microwave-safe mixing container.

Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval.

Continue until the lotion reaches approximately 100°F (38°C).
